What does it mean?

Being a NBR Licensed Artist is one of the biggest honors I have earned throughout my years of being a stylist.

But since becoming licensed, one question came up for many of my guests, colleagues, and loved ones: What does it mean?

I thought I would try to shed some light on what it means to be a Licensed Artist and what the difference is between a Licensed Artist v.s. a Certified Artist.

What does is mean to be a NBR Certified Artist?
Becoming a Certified Artist allows you to offer the unique method of Natural Beaded Rows. This journey starts with pretraining (for me, that was about a month) and then you are invited to go to the 2 day in-person class. You can either decide to enroll into the Academy to further your education or you can end you education there. You’re not obligated to move in any direction. For me, I decided to move forward in working towards becoming a Licensed Artist.

What does it mean to be a NBR Licensed Artist?
To me, becoming a licensed artist means that I put in the work to not only perfect the art of Natural Beaded Rows/BMS but the gain the stamp of approval, from the Creator of NBR herself, in that I am a perfectionist in every single step in the Academy . I didn’t just show up for a 1 day class and got certified. I spent countless hours and about a year & a half dedicated to becoming the best artist, professional, and person I could be and more. That doesn’t just happen in a 1 day certification class. I am currently 1 of about 100 artists in the world who is a Licensed NBR Artist.
It’s like getting your masters in hair extensions, business, and personal development all in such a short time.

When I say I am a NBR Licensed Artist, I hope you look back to this blog and know how proud I am of this title and how much I’ve dedicated to become a luxury hair stylist.
